Welcome Statement

The Del Bay Retriever Club, Inc. welcomes you to its Fall 2009 Hunt Test. We trust everyone will enjoy the weekend. We wish to thank all of those who have made this event possible, especially the Delaware Corp of Engineers and both the Maryland and Delaware Departments of Fish and Wildlife Services for the permits. We are indebted to all of you for your willingness to help preserve an activity that means so much to all of us through the generous use of these grounds. Our collective thanks go to our judges. Your contribution in time, expertise, and enthusiasm, in addition to time spent away from your homes and running your own dogs, is greatly appreciated. Also, we thank the gunners and gun captains. Finally, we thank our game steward, the marshals, all the workers both in the field and behind the scenes, and the contestants. We ask and thank you in advance for your cooperation in the smooth running of this Hunt Test. Please note that we will do our best to run all stakes as close as possible in the order of the draw. If you are entered in multiple stakes, please check with the marshals ASAP to see where you should be. It is our intention to run only 1 Master Stake (A judges) unless entries exceed the limit. The Del Bay Retriever Club is a member of the MNRC.

The electronic draw will take place at 10/21/2009 12:01 am Central Time and will be posted online available for viewing upon final approval by the Del Bay Retriever Club.

Refunds

Scratches must be received by the Hunt Test Committee prior to the beginning of the stake entered. Scratches will be accepted for bitches in season and for injury or illness when a veterinary certificate is presented.

Directions

Directions to the Grounds: From Points North (off I-95): Take exit 896 South towards Glasgow. Follow Rte 896, approximately 7.2 miles to Rte 71. Turn left onto Rte 71 (if you go over the canal, you’ve gone too far). From there, follow the appropriate signs leading either into the Canal grounds or to Rebel Ridge Farms. From Points South (off I-95): Take exit for Rte 279 South. Follow Rte 279 for a few miles. Turn left onto Rte 213. Follow Rte 213 for approximately 4.5 miles (if you go over the canal, you’ve gone too far). Turn left onto Elk Forest Road. Take an immediate right onto Knights Corner Road. Proceed 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Woods Road. Follow the appropriate signs leading either into Rebel Ridge Farms or to the Canal grounds.
